Norwegian Waffles

Waffle Ingredients
- 3.5 Tbsp butter
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2.5 cups milk
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp freshly grated cardamom
- 1 tsp baking powder
Waffle Instructions
- Melt the butter in a small bowl.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs and sugar together.
- Wisk in half the milk
- Add flour, salt, cardamom and baking powder. Wisk until smooth.
- Add the rest of the milk and the melted butter. Wisk until smooth.
- Batter should be thin. Let it rest 1/2 hour.
- Heat a heart-shaped waffle iron, like this one.
- Brush waffle iron with butter for each waffle. Add about 1 dipper full of batter and cook until light golden brown.

- Norwegian brown cheese
- Fresh fruit
- Sour cream and Jam
- Butter and Sugar
Fjellbekk (Mountain Stream Cocktail)

Ingredients (serves 4)
- 4 oz Aquavit
- 4 oz Vodka
- 2 oz Lime Juice
- Lemon-Lime Carbonated Soda
- Ice
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass (highball) with ice cubes.
- Add the aquavit, vodka and lime juice.
- Top with soda and stir.
