Acai Bowl

Acai Bowl Recipe (per 1 large or 2 small servings)
- 1 packet (100 gram) acai puree
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 1/2 cup frozen berries
- 1/2 cup liquid of choice (ice cold water, fruit juice or milk), more as needed
- Sweetener to taste (optional, feel free to omit)
Optional Blend-in Ingredients
- Yogurt (may overpower the natural taste of acai)
- Tropical fruits (frozen)
- Spinach
- Chia seeds
Acai Bowl Instructions
- Freeze ripe bananas in slices. Freeze other fruits as needed. Acai puree can be purchased at many grocery and health food stores in the U.S.
- Add acai bowl ingredients (and optional blend-in ingredients) to a high powered blender. Multiply ingredients by how many servings you want to blend at once.
- Start blending on low and increase speed as you are able. Use your blender’s tamper, or stop and scrape the sides often.
- Add more liquid as needed to get a smooth blend. Hint: try to use less liquid as acai bowls should be very thick.
- Divide puree into bowls and top with the garnishes of your choice.
- Refrigerate leftovers, good for up to 3 days.
Optional Toppings
- Fresh fruit: bananas, mango, berries, pineapple, kiwi, etc.
- Granola
- Shredded coconut
- Chia Seeds
- Chopped nuts or nut butter
- Cacao nibs
