Swiss Cheese Fondue (non-alcoholic)
Cheese Fondue Ingredients
- 16 oz Gruyere cheese, grated
- 12 oz Swiss Cheese, grated
- 1 cup low sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 clove garlic, cut in half
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- dash of paprika
Cheese Fondue Instructions
- Rub the cut side of garlic cloves over the inside of the fondue pot or cooking pot, spreading the natural garlic oil over the surface.
- Mix chicken broth and corn starch in pot and stir until dissolved.
- Gently heat broth.
- Shred cheeses. Note: don’t use pre-shredded cheese as it contains additives and won’t melt as smoothly.
- Add cheese to hot broth one cup at a time, stirring until completely melted and smooth before adding the next cup.
- Add lemon juice for texture and spices for classic Switzerland fondue flavor.
- If necessary, transfer cheese mixture to slow cooker or tabletop heater to serve.
- Dip bite-sized portions of food into cheese fondue and enjoy.

- Cubes of crusty bread like French, sourdough, croutons
- Assorted vegetables, broken or chopped into bite sizes
- Proteins like meatballs, cubed chicken, shrimp
- Select fruits like granny smith apples or pears, chopped

Chocolate Fondue Ingredients
- 3 bars (3.5 oz each) Lindt Excellence 78% Cacao Dark Chocolate, chopped
- 3 bars (3.5 oz each) Lindt Excellence Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate, chopped
- 1¾ cups heavy whipping cream
Chocolate Fondue Instructions
- Combine chopped chocolate in a medium bowl.
- Heat cream over medium heat to just a simmer.
- Pour hot cream over chocolate so it is completely covered and let stand for 2 minutes.
- Stir until mixture is smooth and shiny.
- Transfer to a fondue pot, slow cooker or pot on tabletop warmer.
- Dip bite-size portions of food into the chocolate and enjoy!

Homemade Hot Chocolate
Homemade Swiss Hot Chocolate Ingredients (serves 4)
- 1 quart whole milk
- 1 stick of cinnamon (optional)
- 4.5 oz Swiss dark chocolate (highest quality), finely chopped
- Sugar to taste
- Topping ideas:
- whipped cream
- chocolate curls
- cocoa powder
Homemade Swiss Hot Chocolate Instructions
- Heat the milk (and cinnamon if using) just to the boil.
- Remove the cinnamon stick and pour hot milk into four glasses or mugs.
- Stir just over 1 oz of shredded chocolate into each glass until it has dissolved.
- Add sugar to taste, if desired.
- Top with whipped cream, chocolate curls and/or cocoa powder.
